Biology 1 - 1st and 3rd pd.
Anticipatory Set: 1st pd. SSR first 15 minutes of class. 3rd pd. EOCE Review Question
Objectives: Standards B1 – B 6 Review
Instruction: Students will review for the EOCE to be given on May 22nd. Review will consist of practice EOCE exam and going over the questions. Students will be able to ask “last minute” questions and the teacher will review important test-taking skill.
Homework – Study for EOCE
AP Biology – 4th pd.
Students have completed the course and stood the AP Exam and the senior final exam. Today, students will explore Biology topics which were not covered in the class itself. Today’s topic will be a video on the function of the human body. (NOVA program on The Incredible Human Machine) Discussion will follow.

Biology 1 1st and 3rd periods.
TODAY IS THE EOCE IN BIOLOGY. STUDENTS IN 1ST AND 3RD PERIOD WILL TAKE THE EXAM WITH EITHER MYSELF OR COACH GARRICK.
Due to the exam, there will be no 1st period class. 3rd period: Students will have a debriefing of the exam material and then watch the video on the Incredible Human Machine in order to learn about the major functions of the human body. Students will answer questions from the video which will count as part of the 4th quarter grade.

Lecture from Howard Hughes Medical Institute on Outbreak of new types of viruses and bacteria.

1st Period – Students in first period will view the NOVA program on The Incredible Human Machine which was seen by 3rd period on Tuesday.
Students will answer questions from the video which will count as part of the 4th quarter grade.
3rd period - Third period will view a PBS program on Charles Darwin and his life.
AP Biology
Students will continue with the program on Viruses and bacteria.

AP students will cover material not covered on the AP Exam and discuss this material in class.
